A Narrative Account

Book 4

I am posting a narrative account of my present reading of the Wake to remind myself in the future of 'where I am' in the narrative whenever should I dip into its text. If you use these accounts for your own reading, please remember that they can never substitute for the beauty of the text itself, nor are they definitive - there are often a number of different narrative paths through any one section. I have merely 'privileged' one strand during this reading. I would also argue that there is a margin of error in most readings - a margin difficult to quantify due to the difficulty of the text itself, but one to watch for nonetheless.
